Visual Merchandising

The profession of developing the floor plans and three-dimensional displays in order to maximize sales. Goods or services can be displayed to highlight their features and benefits. The purpose of such visual merchandising is to attract, engage, and motivate the customer towards making a purchase. Ron Curlee Design maintains a focus on this aspect of design and honed these skills as a result of having worked under and alongside the most talented in the furniture industry; Anne Hood, Shelby Pigot, and Renee Smith just to name a few.  A visual illustration of these skills can be viewed in the following sideshows featuring  Fine Furniture Design Showroom, 25,000 Sq. Ft. space located in the International Home Furnishings Center W800 in High Point, NC.

Responsibilities involved with Visual Merchandising include, color forecasting to set trend direction, design concept, construction and demolition, product selection and placement, fabric to frame selection, drapery design, rug and flooring, art and accessories selection, and final installation. This entire process is repeated twice yearly, April and October at the International Home Furnishings Market and buyers from around the world  view our newest introductions /collections. As a fashion leader, we must be on the cutting edge of design. This means introducing textile and color direction that will set the trends for the furniture establishments to follow for the upcoming retail season.
